"Somehow, I'm beginning to understand," she muttered so no one could hear her. But what really bugged her about this was that the war separated her from her friends. Airs and Earths had never been too friendly with each other, their worlds were too different. But the Fires and Airs lived by each other. Of course she had gotten to know some. Now her father wouldn't risk her visiting them. D--- these stupid people.

"I know Yuliya," Mea said calmly, observing the air closely. "The thing is though, if we do not discuss what we are to do, when it comes to acting we will be lost. We will not know to do and everyone will turn on us and we will be alone. If we plan beforehand we have a greater chance of succeeding." Mea had been raised to think before she acted, to consider every possible option. It was this developed skill which helped her see that this war was getting them nowhere. Her father's ability to judge these things accurately seemed to all but have failed him.

Half of her was wondering why she was even bothering with these people, she would probably be able to do better on her own, with the help of Valacia, of course, but then, he never left her.
Her patience with these people was fading her, an fading fast. Normally she didn't consider herself as a girl of action, but really, the thought process here was going so slow! She could see that this talk was going nowhere, and frankly, was fed up. She would do better if she tried to convince every soldier one-by-one not to fight.
